Through searching, I was unable to find the material some used. I have the means to have one laser cut, etc. If one used steel, it would tend to rust I would think. Using 1/4" thick piece of aluminum adequate? Then I am assuming torque it down to where it seals tightly. The intake side, I will purchase a 49-state version. I know AFE makes a horn. Are there others out there? One better than the other?

I have 1018 3/16" flat bars laying around my shop, that's what I would use. Cut your own gasket, paint it with a decent engine paint or maybe some stove/BBQ paint. I would use a manual mill, that's a quick and easy job.

There's a fellow in over on CompD from CA that is looking for the 12V EGR parts to reinstall on his truck to pass emissions. If you want to get rid of it, PM me your contact info and I'll pass it on to him,

Thanks SSage. Thank you for the suggestion. I think we have some flat bar or plate laying around the shop.

BigPapa....Not sure what his time frame is...I am hoping to do this in the next couple of months, possibly sooner.

I see on ATS's website, their replacement intake is not compatible with 12v's with hydro boost brake systems. What would make their intake non- compatible vs the one from AFE? How do I determine if I do have hydro boost?
