Factory 7 Pin harness & Electric Brakes

Just bought a 2003 SRW Ram. Original owner gave me the harness from Dodge to plug in & wire for electric brakes.



Question is, which brake controllers wire into this harness, unless any will?



I would assume the harness back to the plug already is wired, but am not sure.

On mine I just paid the $9. 95 for a pre-wired 2 foot or so harness. I plugged one end into the truck and one end into Prodigy controller. a couple of zip ties later and I was done. Total time 5-10 mintues. The end that plugs into the truck is the same for all; the other end I am not sure, for $9. 95 it was not worth the hassle of figuring out which wire went were. I would go to the local RV/trailer shop tell them the brand of controller you have and they will make sure the other end will fit your controller.

7 wire

Very easy to wire the pig tail to any brake controller . The wires are marked on the pig tail and the wires are marked on the brake control unit. Word of caution use either insulated crimps and the crimping tool or solder them and use heat shrink tubing. Good luck
