Factory dash gages

Question; When the is ignition shut off. Should the fuel, oil and temperature gages show a relative indication or should they bottom out? Thanks for your replies. GregH

Mine stay where they last were for the most part, voltmeter returns to the low point however.

Mine stay pretty close to where they were unless I turn the headlights on and then the temp gauge will slowly creep up to the hot mark. Strange, but my 93 D-250 did the same thing.
