Factory "hot" tune up???

A guy at a local dealership says he can download a hot tune to 3rd gen Cummins' Has anyone heard of this? He says it adds about 50 horse. My buddy had him do his truck and it will puff a good amount of smoke on this tune up only. Im interested but dont know how he does it... through diagnostic port??? I would like to have this too but with injectors and a box already, dont know if this is a good idea. I already know I need an intercooler and a turbo, hope to be getting both before it gets too hot out.

you got my attention, find out from your buddy or you local dealership a code or TSB number of some sorts, any more info you can find out would be very helpful

My cousin was a service manager at Tri Star Dodge. He installed a special program on my brothers truck & it worked for a few days... . then the truck started to Derate itself back to stock. He installed it 4 times & it ran great for a few days..... then it would Derate everytime.

There is no factory hot tune,not D/C factory I should say.
