Factory Radio Display

Has anyone had any problems with the factory radio display going out. The clock/display went on a fritz, began occasionally going out, now it has been out for a year or so. The buttons also have gone crazy. channel seek or scan will at times eject the CD. Always seeks in a different direction each time you hit a button. Channel buttons are not reliable either. HELP. Time for an aftermarket radio?
