Well,,failed it again,,it's an opacity test where they still a probe in the exhaust and rev it to the gov,,while in park,,

I have a DD cam plate not all the way forward,,DD AFC kit with boost elbow,,

It started out good,,first 2 snap tests were 25%,,,then 48%,,then 37%,,,limit is 30% overall,,

SO can anyone refresh my memory as to what to do to bring the fuel to full lean,,to be sure i pass the next test,,

If i remember correctly to lean out the fuel,,you move the cam plate all the way back. . the AFC housing all the way forward toward the front og the engine,,and thighten the hell out of the AFC spring,,,is this right,,,

I usually have to go full lean to ensure a pass,,

The emmision test truck is mobile so it comes to my place,,so i dont have to worry if the truck can't get out of it's own way it's so lean,,

Sucks,,these stupid emmision test are such a money grab to keep those fatcats DOT people in their job,,,

And on top of that,,i run 75% biodiesel,,so the smoke i do produce doesn't even pollute alll that much,,,compared to a freakin city bus,,,which dont need to pass emiisions testing by the way,,

Hope someone can give me some pointers,,,

At this point i'm tempted to find the same truck in a 2500,,since it only gets a visual test $35. 00 instead of $140. 00. .

I would try putting the star wheel back in the OEM position first. I'm assuming it's been turned a fair amount to get early fuel at low boost.

I thought using biofuel produced less smoke?

Cam Plate all the way back. AFC housing all the way back. Star Wheel turn top away from the engine is going back. Man that will make a real PIG out of it but it should NOT SMOKE.
