2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission Now what should I do?

On May 26TH I failed my state inspection due to dim headlights (which I replaced), driver side ball joints and rear axle seal leak. I purchased Moog ball joints from Rockauto, and went to Pepboys (only because it was close to my work) to buy the rear axle seals. But when I went to the counter their where two seals that came up for the rear of my truck! So I took a guess and bought the SKF 28754 (13 x 2. 5 BRK) and not the other model. Does anyone know what the exact part number is?

From reading on the forum the axle seals seem to be a simple straight forward install but the ball joints seem to be a little more intense. I saw that in TDR 71 pg 18 Mr. Wilson did a write-up on replacing ball joints on his truck which is a 06. Now do you all recommend RTV sealant on the axle flange plate for the rear axle? I am trying to save money in due this maintenance myself since I'm so strapped and one quote I received was 598 for ball joint replacement.

Thanks everyone

Not sure of the part number of the seal, I got mine straight from the dealer. However, the (13 x 2. 5 BRK) refers to the 13" x 2. 5" drum brake on the rear axle, so there's a good chance that you have the correct one. There's a metal gasket that goes on the axle flange that I also got from the dealer.
