Supposed to be hitting the road this week, so this is fantastic timing... Over the past week or so, the ignition has been slightly irregular and about 1/4 of the starts have been delayed and kind of rough. Rather than the typical 'bing bang boom' startup, it's been more of a sputtering drumroll situation. I don't let it crank out much longer than the standard start for fear of damaging something (?). The two starts yesterday were far worse and today it didn't seem like it was going to start 3-4 times.
Recent oil/filter (Amsoil), fuel filter and air filter changes. There was an episode in the fall when the truck was running very poorly and I wasn't in a position to have it looked at. And then the symptoms went away. It's been running seemingly well ever since. (see previous post for details of symptoms and diagnoses https://www.turbodieselregister.com/threads/249789-fuel-system-problem)
As far as I know, alternator is good, batteries are strong, starter is cranking away at normal speed/power. Seems like a fuel system issue again. Totally different symptoms, but could they be related?
