Do any of us have a provisioned fall back position?

I've read the posts many of us have firearms and ammo stored. Many more of us have food and water. Some of us have generators and much more elaborate provisions.

Do any of us have a provisioned fall back position? I live in So Cal earthquake and wild fires are my primary concern.

Lately I've been thinking I should rent a small storage unit some miles from my house to give me a second "safe" area in case I my house isn't available.

The fires in So Cal a few weeks ago that took over 500 homes also blocked all North bound traffic and I couldn't get home for a day no big deal.

I was thinking more along the lines of what if my house were junked in an earthquake and nobody was let in to the area for a few days or what if it burned down.

Am I paranoid?

I did till I sold my trailer that I kept at a different campsite. So now it is one of my relatives houses. Luckily I am the best armed so I will always be welcome:-laf

You're talking about a Bug Out Location. It's a great idea in my opinion. I don't have one , because if the SHTF, I'm bugging in. Where I am in the mountains, I feel fairly secure. The only problem I could forsee to make us need to leave is a forest fire. I've got our trees pretty well thinned from about 25 feet to about 75 feet and no trees within 25 feet. We do have an RV that we could take somewhere though if we had to, provided that it was ok.

Here is another story, by the same guy who wrote "Lights Out", to read about this very topic:
