what is the best way to change the fan clutch witout a factory tool i would think the threds are left hand , i have tried a crecent and a hamber. is ther a way to jam the pully ? thanks for any help

To hold the pulley I used a large set of channel locks on two of the bolts, but I did have to get a wrench from Snap On ($60). I tried the crescent and hammer trick without success. I thought it must be seized or something. After I got the proper wrench, it came off easily - without the need of a hammer. Save yourself the headache. Get the wrench.
