Coming up from L. A. again today with yet another 48' HC, stopped at top of Mt. Pass to check the load ( and remove some 
) hopped back in truck and it was idling high. Done this before, click on the A/C , RPM's drop and all is good, well today they stayed up at 1200 RPM's, noticed temp was just shy of the red zone 
. Took off since I was headed downhill and temp stayed there for a bit then dropped, seemed to be staying higher then usual, made this trip now 4 times this past week, same ambient temps, load, etc. . Got home and let idle, wouldn't go above its normal spot, a shade under 200*, is the fan clutch toast again? Will wait till morning to see how it acts when cold. TIA!!

plus , it seems they went up in price too, as if they weren't bad enough already.
here in town I heard they are doing some work up by Lake Mead and Cheyenne. Down south at Cajon the signs were saying NB was to be closed from today through I believe 10am Monday morning. Supposed to go fetch another container Sunday night, but I'll hit up Caltrans's website and see exactly what it has to say and go from there.
