When standing in the front of the truck, turn it to the right or clockwise. Hit the nut with a drift first. It may be real tight.

Any one have a good idea for braking it loose???????????

My fan clutch is shot. Looks like it was a problem b4 I bought it. It has a new pump and radator.

Like Hemi says

hit it with a drift punch on the right side of the nut as you are standing at the radiator, also get a cheap 1-7/16 wrench, the cheap wreanch will be thinner and allow access past the nuts holding the blade to the hub, put the wreanch on and smack it with a hammer clockwise , hope this helps... ... ... ... . I use a big pair of channel locks on the front of the pulley to hold in. Has worked every time but while my '96 is apart I'm going to make a fan wrench that fits over the bolt heads on the pulley.

sounds good, how much air pressure do you use. thx deezul1

Deezul1 is no longer a member, but he is who showed me the air chisel trick when we killed our KDPs years ago. It shouldn't take a lot of pressure. I can back mine off with a long flat screwdriver and a hammer.
