My blower motor only operates on the highest setting, is the dash switch difficult to replace?

Your switch is most likely fine, it sounds more like the resistor is shot.

I sell a pile of resistors for Freightliner trucks and as a result I can't remember where it is in the Dodge...

If nobody responds by this evening I will check my service CD and tell you where it is located. It is in the ductwork/housing for the blower motor, just can't recall where.

The resistor cuts the voltage to the motor to create the lower speeds requested by the switch, when it fails you will only have high speed which is a direct 12 volts.

Mike. :)

It is down under the glove box, mounted to the A/C housing. On the 06 it is held in place by a couple of screws and just plugs in. Replaced mine then later discovered it was just corrosioin on the plug in connections. They are pretty price, at least compared to one for a 49 Chevy. bg

Thanks, I just confirmed it was the resistor and ordered one. Lost it yesterday while plowing. I appreciate the help.

Help us all out please, and fill in your truck info. What will work on mine may not work on yours.
