I'm putting on a Fass pump with a rebuilt VP44 and was wandering which is better 95 or 150? My truck has TST, 4" exhaust and Smarty. I also live where it can get up to 128 (record) degrees in the summer here in Lake Havasu City, AZ. Just wandering if the 150 would cool better with more return flow? I pull a fifth-wheel in the summer and a lot of long grades.

Just don't give me to much grief for living somewhere where it can get so hot. But then we have very little chance of snow. Someday I will retire and leave in the summer, but not yet.

Thanks for the help in advance,

BigT

Personally, I would go with the FASS 150 and get rid of the stock fuel filter. This way, you can put in 3/8 or 1/2" lines from the FASS directly to the VP44 and remove all the restrictive banjo bolts (and all the other stock things).

I have the FASS 150 for years, no stock fuel stuff left. If you remove stock fuel heater etc. Make sure you silicone ends of Water in Fuel Plug, otherwise every time it rains or you wash your truck light will come on till it dries up.

I tend to disagree with the 150. I have the 95 and very similar mods to yours. When I was researching mine to buy it, I ran into some information that said the 150 was for more extreme horsepower ratings and that FASS recommends the 95 for the vast majority of uses. Check out their product description page here: http://www.fassride.com/FASS-description-catalogs/DodgeDescriptionCatalog.pdf to see for yourself. It lists the 95 as stock to moderate and the 150 as moderate to extreme. You and I both fall into the moderate catagory with the mods we have, in my opinion. I believe the 150 is overkill, but you could always contact the FASS people to ask them. The 95 puts out much more fuel than you could possibly use with your mods. Why go higher than that?

I have a Fass 95 and have no problem since I bought it 1 year ago. . love it. . my truck has an edge ez and dd2's. if I floor it the presure goes do to about 11-12 psi.

I have the 95 and agree w/ the above post, I have never seen my psi go below 11 and thats w/ the pedal through the floor. I change my stock f/f every other oil change (approx. 12k) I will say that I am on my second FASS though, the first left me stranded w/ a tow truck bill as it was defective. The second has about 50k on it and no problems since.

All depends on what you plan to do with your truck. Its just a matter of what kind of power you want. If you are just doing light modifcations the 95gph is enough.

i have a 00 cummins w/ juice,smarty,4" turbo back an intake. i got the 150 so i could get rid of the stock junk but i think now the 95 does the same an it might be a little cheaper.
