I am pondering the FASS system; however, I have a concern as to whether colder climates (below freezing) affect this system or does the outside temp even matter?

I had FASS unit on my truck all last winter with no problems. Below freezing temps, windchills in the - 30 degree range, day after day. I have not heard of anyone having any issues with cold.

I haven't had a problem with minw with temps down to -20. I've got mine plumbed through the factory filter so I can still use the heater. Steady 15psi and when I put my foot in it drops to maybe 13. 5 psi.

In Jan. , approx a month after I installed the FASS, I had my truck parked in -35F temps for 12 hours at a time. That was before I added the RACOR fuel heater.

The fuel was a 50/50 blend of #1 and #2. and Amsoil diesel additive. I didn't have any problems with the fuel system.

The folks that leave the factory filter canister/fuel heater in are not accomplishing anything for cold weather protection of the fuel system (filters, lift pump, etc) only the injection pump.
