Has anyone one used this pump yet? If so,
What were your results?

I am going to replace my carter oem and was considering this one. I thought about using the carter and relocating to the rear. I am hesitant to hang it back there as it will be blasted by sand, salt and calcium. If your in the real northeast and moved your pump, how has it fared back there? My truck is bone stock and don't really anticipate any real hp mods happening.

The fass DDRP (dodge direct replacement pump) has proven to me its good. Had it on my old ride and it is still on it. Went out of the 3 yr warranty, has over 100k on it. I would have one on the truck I have now, but it had an airdog when I bought it. I personally would not put a carter back on, you could not give me one of those. Did one at the frame and all, still unreliable and would fail at terribly inconvenient times in the middle of no where. I lived in md/pa when I had the fass on the rail and did not have any issues with rust, but I do go out of my way to constantly clean under my trucks too. You can also mount the DDRP in the stock location if you are concerned about rust issues and truck is bone stock

Hey VF,
Thank you for your reply. I went ahead and ordered the pump. Right now I intend to hang it up by the engine. I'm going to see if I can't come up with a way to protect it somewhat if I place it back by the tank. I also try to wash underneath in the winter too. I'm deep in the middle of a cab swap/ rebuild of my truck so now is a good time to do this kind of stuff.

Looking at it tonight, I think I have dug myself a very deep hole.....
Actually it has gone very well so far without any issues. I ordered the pump and a new fluidamper from XDP tonight.

whoa, that's a project. Another thing to look into while you have everything apart is the fuel feed and return lines on top of the fuel tank control module if you have not already. They are metal and rust. They did this on my 99 so I replaced it with a Vulcan draw straw eliminating them.

IMO mounting a pump on the side of the block has some disadvantages. First, a pump is more efficient at pushing not pulling fuel. Second and third, the heat and vibration have got to play hell on them over time. If you look at alot of the AD Raptor issues, there are considerably more failures with them compared to the AD100 yet the motors are identical. I proved that by mounting a Raptor motor on an AD100 pump. So what are the main differences? Location..... just my 2 cents worth...

I ordered the relocation kit and was thinking about the fuel lines last night. I'm going to do that as well.
Yup, it is quite the project AND I need to drive it this winter. In the last hour, I just sold my 13 Boston Whaler for 2500 and the short bed from the donor truck for 900. I now have what I need to comfortably finish this. I so happy I going to pour myself a beer or two or... crap, at this rate I'll never get anything done tonight... .
I wish I could order the aluminum flat bed I intend to put on. That will have to wait until summer I guess.
