Thanks, TDR Staff
I have been buying Donaldson Fuel Filters for my Fass Titanium, but I keep getting the extra long water separator.
I would rather have the short filter.
I have looked on the Fass site, but they do not differentiate between short and long.
Could someone please give me a brand and a part number for a short water separator?
Brand doesn't matter, I will convert.
Thanks.. Gary

I looked up the other filter I use with the water separator which is a
Donaldson P551313 and on the Fass Cross Reference and it shows it as a 3 micron water filter, secondary.
Ozymandias, what is the number of your other filter?

I went to the Fass Site, looked at the recommended filter selection for the Titanium Gray Lift Pump, and it appears that it has changed. For the Grey Titanium, they now recommend a 2 micron water separator on the Pressure side and a 144 micron particulate filter on the suction. This is supposed to help with cavitation. I have always ran a 3 and a 10 micron separator with the drain on the suction side. Is this correct?

3 & 10 is fine.

FASS changed their own factory filters because of noisy pumps.
They also changed their filters recommendations from "choose any filters you want" to "buy ours only and use third-party only in case of emergency".
