Fass fuel or Air Dog?

I've never had a fuel preperator so I need some insight on which is the better one to go with. They both seem about the same to me. It's going on an 06 with a tst/edge ez stack. Any input would be great.

Which has the better over all performance? I thought there was a problem with the FASS and the Fass was a knock off, of the Air Dog. Or am I having a senior moment? Which unit is the one that is powered by the Serpentine belt, that anit the Fass is it. Been along day

I looked into both before purchasing 2 weeks ago, and the deciding factor for me

was the service. My understanding is you cannot contact FASS directly.

I own a small business and I cannot believe that. I hope it it not true, but I could find no contact info. I called the Airdog folks and they gave me a tech specialist before I even bought the unit. To me that was the deal breaker.

Thanks, Yes Rasp, It's been about a year since I explored the subject at that time I spoke to the owner just before he sold the company. At that time Air Dog was the way to go. I know many who have the Air Dog and swear by it.



One very important thing to consider is what Schlickenmeyer noted Dealer support.

Because of lack of customer service I wish I had a AIR DOG instead of fass.

Fass would not stand behind the warranty because they could not find the

registration card. To try to make things right they did extend my warranty 2 years. I think too little to late.

Concerning customer service they ask that you work thru your purchasing dealer besause if they had open lines to anyone about anything then folks would be complaining that they can't get an answer anyway. Plus if your purchasing dealer can't/won't help you then they should be a place of business to avoid for sure. Plus Dan is on the sites pretty regular so you can get info thru that as well. They are strict about the warranty cards, but in the box it tells you pretty plainly that if you send it in you get a 6 SIX year warranty, much better than anything else out there!!! I imagine he'll be along here in a few moments!!



Also the FASS has a heavier duty motor and such than any other similiar product on the market.

My job here at DPP is Customer/Dealer support for wnty and troubleshooting. And its a very busy and time consuming job. I have covered this on another site and ill quote what i wrote over there:

I am responsible for over 100 Dealers nation wide and over 15,000+ units on the market. Me, that’s it. We ask that our dealers take care of the smaller issues/questions that pop up. If i need to get involved helping a customer, I do. And i do often. But if I took every call that came in, I would never get anything done. We are a growing company and I’m sure we will get more help. But at the moment, I am it. AND I’m doing my very best to keep up on all 8+ forums and all the calls I get now as it is.

You wouldn’t believe the amt of calls we get just about application. These are questions that a selling dealer that actually installs the units on the trucks can answer. They see the results and in some cases might have more first hand info than i can offer about installs and such. We supply our dealers with as much info as we can. Ask any of them about how many e-mail updates they get from us. If they cant answer a question, then have them call me. If i need to step in, I will. We will never make everyone happy... . but i will do my best from my end to make sure everyone gets the best service from us.

I am happy with my FASS 200 and the customer service from Dan. He has worked with me to make sure I have all the right components and get them ingerated correctly on my truck. Every issue of the TDR has the DPP/FASS website and toll free phone # in their ad. Still, your first line of "defense" should be your dealer. Or come to May Madness, and give Brad a hard time Just kidding, there, as he was a professional boxer (and a darn nice guy).

My recommendation is to send the card in by registered mail. That way you have proof they got it. When my Fass broke I sent in the original receipt, and that did not matter because they said they could not find the magic card.

There is nothing the dealer could do. This is a vendor I will avoid and will let as many people know about my problem as possible.

I have never seen the Air Dog before. How does it compare in price?

I have been looking at the FASS but I want to put on the one with the filters made in & I think the price of it compared to the one with out the filters is very pricy
