FASS Fuel Pressure Spring Swap

I am trying to change the fuel pressure output on the FASS, and I have the replacement spring to do so, however, I cannot figure out where it goes. I've taken out all the plugs except the inboard one, and felt around and looked around inside them, and I cannot see any springs. Do I have to take the filters off to get to it or what? I cannot find the old spring even, much less replace it. Even after I do find it, any hints or tips on changing it?

I just did the same thing. Unhook the the line fitting that runs back up to the fill hose. Its the return line from the pump the line that is tied into the fill neck. After you take that you the spring and ball should fall out of there. Now i am seeing 18psi.

After you remove the hose,remove the fitting that the hose was connected to. The one that screws into the block. the spring and ball should fall out. At least mine did. Hope this helps

Anyone know how the spring actually works? (i. e. how does that spring and ball valve in the return line, going the opposite of return flow, affect the pressure supplied?)
