FASS fuel pressure with 3 micron filter?

Anyone running a FASS pump and filter system with a 3 micron filter?

What is your pressure?

steady at WOT?

I just finally finished installing mine and with a 3 micron filter and the gauge connected just before the IP(not on the FASS port) I'm seeing 12. 5 at idle and it drops to 7-9 at WOT.

I have the 145 gph version.

Stock pickup in tank.

1/2 inch lines from tank to FASS to IP.

Otherwise stock truck.



I got this pump slightly used and I have a new 10 micron filter(in package), but this 3 micron filter is supposed to be barely used.



PS this is on diesel.

I am running a 2 micron filter on a 95 gph model and see the same idle pressure as u but my WOT only dropps to about 11psi. I have heard of problems with the higher output model with the stock fuel tank pick up. It sucks so much that it empties the pick up basket in the tank. That may be your problem.



Is your pump noisy when it is running? That is one of the symptoms of it sucking the pick up empty. Also hard starts is one too. Also it took a couple of days for my pressure to stabilize after the install.



Just something to think about, i am in no way an expert.
