i have a fass 150 installed in my truck and have heard the you can change the spring to get higher fuel pressure im at 15 psi at idle and 13-14 at wot . So my quest is where can i get a diff spring and how do you change it

You could put a shim (steel washer)in there, thats what i did and brought it up to 25PSI

But you have a 24V and i i think that there is a certain pressure that you shouldnt go past

At those pressures you are completely fine. As long as you stay above 10 psi life is good. Running too high of pressure in a 24v can damage the seals in the pump. 15 psi is where it should be at idle. If you NEED to have the press up, your local FASS dealer should be able to get you some springs.

Yes to much pressure on a VP can result in hard starting problems. Probably safe to 20. Shouldn't need any more than that anyway.

ok just wanted to make sure cuz my buddy has same truck and he has 24 psi, lowest ive gone is 12psi and thats holding it right to the floors so i guess im all good for now just was a little worried

where does the steel washer go and how much will that up it just mite like to give it a lil more once i do the injectors.

It goes in the line, dont know off hand which(feed or return) but the fass 150 is not designed to run higher than 22-25 psi if I remember right. High flow at lower pressure.

It goes in the return line,

use a couple differant size washers untill you get it right

I went as far as turning down the I. D (so there is no restriction)and also decreasing the thickness of the washer by just a couple thousands

it may take a while of Removeing and replacing the ball, spring and washer

till you get it just right

just when you take it apart make sure you dont lose the ball or spring:-laf

can i use just the spring or do i need all that other stuff too id like to just do the spring if i can. If i can get just the spring could you messge me with the contact info thanks soo much

On the last few FASS systems i have installed here for the guys looking for more psi. I just stretched the spring a little. . Be easy just a little will give you 3-4 psi in a hurry!

Yup I just stretched my spring aprox 1/4 inch and is has maintained the PSI for the past 2- 2. 5 years with out problem. Takes all of about 3 minutes and costs zero.
