Water/Meth varible controller

B1 max boost numbers

Thanks to Rob Thomas at Michigan Performance Diesel I am now FASS equipt.

The truck is so quiet now It sounds like a gasser. I took it for a test ride and I rolled into the throttle after it hit 2nd and when the boost came up it roasted the tires and I spun the truck out. :--)

i checked the mileage and so far it is getting 30+ mpg !!!

JUST KIDDING !!!

I've only got about 3 days of driving with it. There are a few noticable things. One , the truck seems to have a slightly smoother idle. It starts easier if I hesitate just slightly while turning the key. I don't really have enough miles on it to see if the mileage has increased so I will report back on that. It also seems a little more consistant. This is hard to explain but sometime my truck seems to run different day to day, nothing major just slightly. Kind of like when a gasser gets heatsoaked vs cold.

The truck does not seem any quieter, or faster. That is fine.

I did not buy this product with any performance gains in mind. What I expect this product to do is eliminate the unreliability of the factory lift pumps. Anything gained above that is a bonus.

So far I'm very happy with the money I spent.

I don't have a fuel pressure gauge.

I used to have a test gauge and would just check the fuel pressure once a month. Since the FASS install I don't have a test port, although there is a test port in one of the fittings supplied with the FASS , I just haven't gotten the adapter for it yet.

Did you notice any difference in the truck after you changed the spring? Also, where did you get it and do you have a part number for it?

The spring is available from Fass. I talked with Brad(Fass owner) and he sent me a new spring when I ordered the 3 micron fuel filter. The unit comes with a 10 micron filter. He also told me that they don't suggest you stretch the spring anymore now that they have a higher pressure one avail. The only draw back with higher pressure is on hot days with the truck at running temp,a few times I had to crank the starter for an extra second or two to start.

Well it's been a couple of weeks now with the FASS.

It seems like i've picked up about 1mpg in combined city/highway driving.

The only thing I noticed that I really didn't care for is if you don't hesitate while starting (so the pump runs ) or if the truck doesn't light right away , it will crank a while before it starts.

Other than that everything seems fine.
