How loud are these things? The more I read about these pumps the more I think I should of ordered something different. Can someone tell me what they think of their pumps FASS or other!

Thanks again,

Snoracer

Can't hear my AirDog at all. Only when you put the key in and wait for the wait to start light. Once the truck on you can't hear it.

Don't have any experience with FASS but I can tell you the Walbro is as quiet as a mouse. And at the psi we run em' at, it's only at about 20% duty cycle.

when the time comes for me to upgrade the pump im going with the glacier kit. the install looks pretty straight forward. the factory stuff stays completly intact, thw walbro pump from what i here is very good and quiet. from what i have heard the fass is fairly loud. but i personally have no first hand experience with either yet.

I have a FASS 150 which is running great but if I knew the Glacier kit was going to be coming out, I would have gotten the Glacier kit, they seem to be simple and can pump the fuel and pressure needed for plenty of power without the noise.

New FASS systems are quiet and smooth. They've also got the best warranty in the marketplace and they're specifically designed for diesel fuel.

There is a recent thread with some pictures and specs on here. "Check out my ARMSTRONG DIESEL fuel system w/pics" is the thread name.

Here is a quick video... FASS 150 Video

Best Fuel System

I had Fass and now run the Glacier Diesel setup. Richard's the man. 54psi,... just what was required for my II lvl 2. Sweet!!

Warranty? Fass declined my claim when it broke, because they could not find

my registration card. I sent them the original receipt, but that wasn't good enough. To try to make things right they did extend my warranty 2 years.

I would never buy another FASS product.

Sad to hear it - you've gotta send that registration card in as soon as you finish the install on one. They did make it right with you by extending your warranty though - pretty nice of them.

Richards products are AWESOME. You never hear of an problems with the Walbro. I've put almost 30,000 miles on my truck since the install with zero problems. If it wasn't for the fuel pressure gauge, you would have to get down on the ground to hear it running. Best kit out in my opinion... .

had a FASS... sold it for Glacier. the FASS on Bodie Armstrong's truck is my old FASS... you can tell how loud it is! it annoyed the mess out of me.

Like lucas said, you don't know the Walbro is on the truck unless you are laying under the truck... . thats the way it should be!

The Airdog seems to be a good system as well, but i have no experience with it.

Well the thing about the Walbro is, it's a lot quiter from the FASS system's I've heard and if it does go out you can buy and carry another pump around with you for $130. 00, not only a piece of mind, but all and all still a better deal than the FASS IMO...

That is the cool thing about the Walbro... You can get it at any autoparts store... Or carry a spare in the glove box since it is 4 inchs long. LOL With other systems, if they quit on the side of the road at 1am your screwed!

Ill put a teaser on here. We are still banging out the details... but some items being covered:

6 Year wnty (Specifics will come later)

New free update that can lower Motor noise up to 11db (BUT again, more to come early next week)

Might want to tell Bodie to mount that HPFP correctly in the bed as per page #8, section 3 in the install manual
. That weep hole needs to be pointing down…. .

That pump is noisey. We get a few like that... but that is not a good example of most of the pumps that leave here. AND now we wont let one leave like that, after we found the solution to the noise. I can't hear Brads running on his 06 with the truck off. Feed back from testers has been very positive.

Consider it fliped! :D

Diesel-Dan is right, my FASS is the loudest FASS I have ever heard. A buddy of mine has a 200 and it is WAY quieter than mine, you cant even tell he has it untill you look under the truck.

Dont let my video scare you, the way my FASS is mounted is not the way FASS recomends, I just wanted somthing different. MOST OF THE NOISE IS THE BED RATTLING. :-laf Mounting it the frame will be a lot quieter.

Hope this helps, Bodie
