fass pump install question on 05' ???

Has anyone done a fass pump install on an 05' retaining the in tank pump pushing the fuel to the fass pump? Is it absolutely required to disconnect the in tank pump, and install the fass pick-up tube ???? Trying to determine if the in tank pump would act as a pusher pump to the fast pump? I wonder if the fass pump would increase the fuel pressure to the CP3?? Any help in this area would be appreciated. .

the one in the tank would be a bottleneck and it's probably a3/8" line ,I think most guys are doing 1/2". Do the vent mod at the same time.
