What filters are you guys using as replacement filters for your FASS UNITS?

I am thinking about putting together some filter kits for the FASS, but I am wanting to hear feedback on which filters you guys are using and recommend.

Also, what micron rating is satisfactory for our trucks?

Is 10 micron ok? or should it be the 3 micron filters?+

Thanks for the feedback.

NAPA 1724 2-Micron $29. 00

If you know someone that gets fleet pricing from NAPA, they are $11. 62 ea. in case of 12.

Mine lasts about 8-9K, usually, but got over 10K from the last one.

Been running them since new, 110 on the truck, abouy 80 on the FASS

Watch your pressure. Mine runs 15 lbs. no matter what. when I see pressure slip at all, I change it. I let it go once, and was lucky to find a NAPA store open on Sunday in NM. My experience is 1 Lbs drop means you need a change, 4 lbs means you better look for a place to park. If you had no gauge (GASP!!) you could just adopt a regular schedule, like every other oil change.

Are the BT-372MPG from Baldwin ok to use?

Anyone know the micron rating?

I think factory fuel filter ratings are 10micron correct?

I found the NAPA 1202 on the website for $18. 99

The one mentioned above is around $29

The fleetguard 6601 can be had for around $18

The Baldwin BT372MPG can be had for around $18 also.

So many choices!

I would double check the micron rating of the NAPA 1724. I thought it was 2 micron also, but later was told its a 10 micron filter. 10 is probably good enough, but 2 or 3 would be better. Either way, the seal is better than the original one that came on my fass.

E-mail us and I'll give you a price on the Napa 1724, the Napa 1202, or the Napa 1724. Wix and Napa are the same.

We don't have them listed on the website, but we still can have them shipped same-day.

Ok,

So whats the story on the Water and Fuel Separators?

Could someone use a 3405 NAPA Water Fuel separator instead of the FS1023 Fleetguard?

Would a smaller micron Fuel Water Separator hinder the FASS performance?

Or would it be fine to use?

Thanks. .

I bought my FASS from Piers - it came with a Cim-Tek 70213 2 micron filter, which he sells as a replacement. I had a heck of a time finding a microglass filter in the auto parts stores around here. So I ordered a couple extra from Piers. As for me I hope it was expensive.

One word on electric fuel pressure senders - they do give false readings. I quit looking at the gauge for the most part because the FASS's steady 14# but noticed it bobbing at 0 - 10 and my heart sank --- DOUBLE CHECK with a mechanical gauge before assuming your numbers are correct. My test gauge read 14# rock steady. Bad sender at 8k. Chinese shat. I would pay 2 -3 times as much for a good piece of equipment.
