Archived fass suction line connection line problems

after removing stock suction line from tank, cannot get the fass fitting to lock on the fitting. does the blue spring clip stay on the tank fitting or should it be removed 2001 2500 quad cab

The locking clip stays with the OEM/factory fuel line, not on the fuel tank port. Look at the picture next to letter "E" in your install manual.
