Gatorback Belts

just got a fass unit about an hour ago because i lost fuel pressure. need to get it on tonight and was wandering if anyone has run one with a auxillary fuel tank. . if so were they mounted it and how they ran the fuel lines.

thanks

I have a FASS connected to my primary tank. I use my aux tank as a transfer tank now w/ old lift pump used to pump fuel from aux tank to primary tank. I use a Chevy tansfer valve solenoid in series w/the old lift pump that feeds into an 1. 5" (I think) cast iron pipe in-line w/ the fuel filler tube. I think the fuel line is 3/8".

hope this helps, Wiredawg

I'm running a FASS with an auxillary fuel tank, I had to add a second valve to make things work. The FASS will draw straight from either the main or auxillary tank and the return lines from both the engine and FASS will go back to the tank that is being drawn from. The FASS is mounted on the frame were the instruction say to and I have the two valves mounted under the box near the FASS.

I had to eliminate my 6-way valve when I installed the Air-Dog because the 1/2" lines are WAY too big for the valve. Would like to find an 8-way valve that has 1/2" capabillity.

If you use a transferflow tank they transfer to your main tank or Install some other in - bed tank and flow it into your main tank. Wouldn't a Fass just install the same as without an Aux tank?

yes, but in some tanks there is a 6 way valve on the fuel lines. its like having to main tanks... flip a switch and fuel is drawn from the other trank... and the stock fuel gauge is is wired in to so that it show the correct reading for the the tank that is being used. its a little easyer to keep track of how much fuel you have.....
