no one has installed one of these on a ve pumped truck?

or no one wants to let me know how it worked?

well, i will be upgrading everything soon and will have to use something different to get more fuel to the system

so if i install a fass before i do the upgrade i will let you know what difference it made, if any

Personally, I dont know of anyone that has put one on a first gen. I had one on my 02 and would not do it again. FASS used to be good for customer service and warranty, but now there is a long process to get everything fixed.

Good Luck with the system if you do it, and post results of how it works for you and such.

I had one on my old 89, and will be putting it on my 93. If I remember correctly it had 15psi at idle and only dropped down to about 12psi at wot. The only other 1st gen I know that is running one is Stomp, and he made 680hp with it and a ve pump, but he hasn't been on here for a while. In my opinion it is well worth the money.

The fass seems like a good pump but overkill for the ve and its not cheap. On my 93 I used an Aoromotive and have allready purchased one for the current truck. Thier carburated HO pump says its regulated to 7psi but I constantly saw 9psi. At WOT it would drop down around 4. Seemed to keep up just fine. Truck had normal pump tweeks , POD's ,HX 35/40 etc. . Nothing real special but it pulled my trailer faster than I'd dare drive it.

I just got it from summit racing for $169

well, i will be going to a bigger turbo, injectors, and gonna have the ve maxed out (which it may already be?)

bottom line i know it will need something to supply it

with the summit pump 'dead headed' dont you think it would cavitate and put air in the line?

thanks, don

Im not sure what you mean by dead headed. I ran the pump as it came from Aeromotive and no external regulator was needed. On the few Fass pumps Ive seen they were the same just more pressure.

Im no expert but it ran perfectly on my last truck and I expect this one to as well.

The current truck will have a bigger turbo, injectors etc. .

As long as you have good pressure to the inj pump it will be fine. I have been told by many shops that more than 12-14 psi will be very bad for the ve. I dont think the ve has a return to the tank for the excess fuel. I may be wrong though.

On the pump itself or just from the injectors ? My truck has the front sheetmetal off right now and Ill I saw earlier was fuel into the filter from the lift pump and the return on the back of the motor from the injectors.

In about a week Ill be finally ready to get it running and Im sure Ill be posting up a bunch more questions. lol

VE has a return as does the injectors to the tank.

Take a look at my fuel system pics in my gallery. That might give you some ideas. I'd say pass on the Fass though.
