About 9 months ago I had a FASS system installed on my truck. Seems like it is very noisey. With the windows closed, radio on and A/C going I can hear a loud "Whine". Is this normal? It isn't a "whine" you hear every once in a while. It can be heard all the time.

Thanks for any info... . Larry

Doesn't sound normal to me. Three weeks ago I listened to a three old FASS which was installed in a '04. 5. I could barely hear it over the idle sound standing right next to it. You could definitely hear it with the truck off,but it wasn't bad at all.

Mine definetly has a loud whine to it that can be heard if you are listining for it. I have grown accustom to it and now I get worried when I cant hear it. But as long as my gage is reading 15 psi Im happy with it.

I'm with basilry. The one on my 04. 5 is noticible when standing outside the truck at an idle and before start up. Hear it while standing next to the box. Don't notice it when driving it down the highway. My kit was supplied with a rubber isolator that went between the frame bracket and the pump bracket. Seems to make it pretty quiet.
