I won a FASS Platinum at May Madness of 2010. I finally had to change the filter (23,500 mi). Pressure dropped to 8PSI. Had a problem getting the pressure up. 15psi on the starter crank but 0 when I started the engine. After 8-to 10 tries I called

FASS tech support knew just what the problem was , they asked me what filter I was using. It was a NAPA 3407. The solution was simple, shorter the centras pickup tube by 1/2". Avter that the prewsure jumped right to 16 psi and never faulted.

I was told that this problem has been corrected in the newer unite but i think I will stick to the Donaldson filters in the future

Thanks for the heads-up, my FASS-150 is due for a filter change.
