Fast and the Furious

Anybody out there seen that new movie Fast & the Furious yet?--i thought it was cool... just can't see those ricers pulling a 10 second 1/4 mile {even with NOS}..... now that blown 440 that was in the Mopar at the end was sweet..... we at the TDR should make a movie about FAST diesel trucks or something... . NOW THAT WOULD ROCK!

Been there, done that.

Seen the movie three times so far. And thats not a 440 in that 69 Charger. There were some believable and some not so believeable things in that movie. But you would be surprised what the lil imports will run after you drop some $$$ into them. That Supra they built would be fun..... I am still wondering what that hose that was hanging out from under the Green Eclipse when they got together for the first street race... . did you notice it under the car, almost dragging.



I wish there was more of the Charger tho... . I imagine there will be a part II eventually since this one made 41 million the first weekend.

Sorry... didnt see the movie, probably not gonna. I personally think it's a bad idea to glorify these gang-banger types and the stupid road antics they do..... we've got plenty of them around here... killing each other at an alarming rate... . I guess I dont really care if they want to see if thier Integra will fit inside a telephone pole, what bothers me are the other folks sharing the road with them that could be hurt of killed. I remember a movie from 1979 called "The Warriors" about a NYC gang. Nation-wide, police were posted around movie theaters in anticipation of fights and shootings. I can only immagine what the idiot kids of today are going to do when stimulated by this moronic video-game movie. Just MHO.

Back to the subject at hand..... Its just a movie, when they rereleased Gone in 60 Seconds. . did everyone go around trying to steal a car? Its just a movie, sure there will be some stupid kids, but they exhist even without the movie. Street racing has been around forever and a day... ... they just made a movie bout the newest genration is all. I am sure alot of people have went out and bout nitrious because of the movie... but thats thier choice. I would see this movie again and intend to buy it on DVD the day its released. But I don't have the urge to go see if my truck will fit under a semi trailer... . but yes I engage in a lil race from time to time if one crops up... . and only once since I seen the movie.

Haven't seen it yet, but the only reason I will go is to see the Charger. Wife & I came out of a Chinese Restaurant Saturday night after the Movie Theater let out and as we walked across the parking lot, I heard the sounds of a screaming engine and tires burning, and then the ultimate death sound of plastic hitting something hard--yep, you guessed it. Found out after cops got there some young kid all fired up over the movie thought it would be cool to see what his dads 2001 Corvette would do. He found out--passenger side & rear were gone. No one hurt though. Wife had to smack me I was laughing so hard. I hate Corvettes! I know I sound cold--but I have been drag racing for 18 years, and I try to tell these kids to take it to the track, not on the streets.

I hate it when people call it that!! lol Hey I got NOS man. Evidently the movie people didn't know its an abbreviation for NITROUS OXIDE SYSTEMS but oh well. The movie was pretty cool though. It was just as realistic as it was unrealistic if that makes any sense at all. The sounds we all cool... blow off valves rock IMO I love the sneeze sound they make. Was worth the money... doens't beat gone in 60 seconds though
