The question was "Fast Coolers Do They Work"?

Well now that i have them in front of me the question is... . 1st: The bolts that you take out of the PTO covers they are kinda star shaped lookin like a reversed TORX bit, anyone know what size they are?

2nd question: After reading directions( something i normally dont do) they say to put the cooler with the magnetic dipstick and the temp sending port on the right hand side of the truck... . Well what is the right hand side of the truck... Theres 2 right hand sides depending what way you look at the truck... ... THANKS for the info.....

Almost forgot... . Never have had a manual transmission that required the lube ATF+4... just thought i would throw that in there... . THANKS :-laf

I am not sure what the size of the socket is that is needed but a 12 point socket or wrench will work. They use the same thing on Gas turbines

Thank YOU... . Confusing when the directions say RIGHT SIDE... . Well what direction are they looking at it... ...

Do you notice that they helped at all?

they hold about 2 more quarts, ya they cool pretty good

are you sure you have the right thing down now??? :-laf i could send pictures :-laf and draw a map Oo.

I still run warm down the hwy, I dont know how much cooler because I put the temp sensor and fastcoolers in at the same time. I run about 210-220 after a long time pulling 10-11k down the road. But for the manuals and the gear lube for the nv its normal.

On the NV5600 it's important to get the correct cooler on the correct side. I didn't, and as a result I can't remove the dipstick on the driver's side..

At 60k when I service the transmission again I'll pull off the coolers and swap them.

Although you can make gaskets for them, the RTV provided with the coolers worked fine for me.
