Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) Fast coooolers

Anyone running fast coolers on a 02 4x4 6spd with 4in. exhaust? Whats the clearance from the exhaust? Dimensions of the cooler? Recommendations for the replacement oil refill. Glad my BD exhaust brake was installed further down the pipe.

They are available in lengths of 2. 50", 3. 00", and 3. 75.

You add about 1 qt. for each fastcooler installed.

Cant answer the question on the 4" exhaust clearance. As to the lubricant, warranty requires the OEM stuff ONLY.



Some have used synthetic motor oil, others like Red Line MTX. I have had excellent results with Royal Purple Synchromax. I use a PTO filter on the passenger side PTO and the FastCooler on the driver side PTO, even with this setup, when towing heavy in the summer I have seen oil temps approaching 230F.



It works well in the transfer case too.
