My device is a 8 inch piece of 1/4 X 1 wood. Would post a photo of it in use but do not know how. #ad
It fits from the bottom of the dash to the top of the pedal and holds the RPM's at 1100.

If you use a longer piece of wood and wedge it between a power seat and the fuel pedal you have an electric variable speed idle control. #ad

I git the same high tech device. mine is a precision bent welding rod. #ad
wedges just right between the dash and the pedal. if i slide the pedal end of the rod up i can go from 1000- 1900 rpm.

I tried your idea but I tried it for power brakes instead. I would have to say the results are not satisfactory. This method of activation seems to be a little slow for emergency situations but works great on long hills.

Wanted:
Front grill, hood, radiator, bumper, windshield, core support and intercooler for first gen.

Also Wanted: Rear bumper, trunklid, tailights for 94 Toyota Camry.

Curtis, since you don't have power seats what you do is use the whole broom handle wedged under the half way up center console. With this method you can rest your foot and control the throttle with your right arm.

Ray, we're not making fun of your idle device, it's better than the brick I put on my pedal. Just couldn't pass up the chance for laughs. -Bill

Seriously Ray, If you want to, e-mail me the picture of you set-up and I'll post it on my site. Then you can post it here.

Considering the kind of winter's we have here, I use my contraption about twice a year. #ad
