I've notice on several long trips recently after using the cruise control, I've noticed that when I come to a stop my truck idles at about 1k rpms. It only goes back to normal after I shut the truck off and restart it. Is this a problem.
 
Sounds like the APPS. Mine did the same thing, then it started to give me the dead pedal. I reset it a few times then finally bought a new one. No problems since.

There is an updated APPS (or TPS) for this problem. If you have an e-brake it won't engage either. Mine was replaced on D/C's dime, they are about $400.
