Fast Idle Question

I went to the dealer today and asked the service guy about the fast idle computer reflash. HE said and get this "you live in Ohio you shouldn't even have to plug your truck in(as it is about 28 degrees outside). " I wanted to smack him. I said look all I know is that there is a TSB out on it and all the dealers are supposed to be aware of it. He asked why I wanted it and if I had problems starting it. He was obviously clueless as to what this is. I told him about the valves sticking and he said he had never heard of such a thing as if to call me a liar. I told him I have an extensive amount of knowledge on diesels and he said he also did after he told me I could just start er up and take off on any day in Ohio. WHat a complete jerk. He said he would check into into it. I told him I could chow him on this site what it was and who to call he said he could do the same himself. ARGH!!!! Dealers!!!! Thanks to all who can help. I will be goin in for an appt. tomorrow morning b/c of my passenger window goes up slow.
