The SRT-10 has the 500hp Viper V-10 engine in it. Pretty cool. Saw it run on Motorweek a couple of weeks ago. Sure doesn't take much to light the tires up.

I would think twice before messing with one on the freeway, but I would sure love to line up next to one at a red light. On second thought I would HAVE to mess with it!

I am such a diesel head that I have a hard time liking any thing gas but that is a neat truck.

How much lighter is the SRT-10 than a SB QC CTD 3500? I wonder how a 500HP 3G would compare to the SRT-10 in 0-60... how much HP would we need to beat that thing between lights? Hmmm...

A 500hp 3G automatic would most likely kill the SRT-10 at a red light to 60 or so. Remember that 500HP SRT would make more like 400-450 rear wheel HP on the dyno. Add in lost time in shifting, and a traction issue because of 2 wheel drive with no weight in the rear end and a 500 RWHP cummins auto should blow it away no problem. 60 and above it should become a real race.
