fast warm ups

The Powerstroke has a butterfly valve in the exhaust for faster warmups, much like a Exhaust brake. I thought about making one myself. I know the E-brake can be used this way but I don't want to spend the $650.

I finally got around to installing an ebrake last month,that I had sitting around since March. It's amazing how fast warm up is when I turn the brake on.
I used to start the truck and let it idle while the heater grid did their warm-up thing,which takes approximately 3 minutes. After I'd take off,it would still take a while for the temp gauge to come up off the 140 mark.
Now I just turn on the ebrake and let it idle,and within 4 min the gauge is already at about 160.
