Competition nitrous fogger system???

Competition Warning about the Subaru Impreza WRX...

Duh sorry forgot to mention that!

I believe his fastest time on a single turbo was 13. 52.

I know Eric McBride was in that area as well on his 5 speed, but he has twins.

On twins I believe Craig has gone 12. 9x something.

Keep in mind these are both 12v trucks.

I don't have anyone off the top of my head with a 24v.

Well I have a 5-speed and went to the drag strip for the first time in my life tonight. My best was a 13. 95, but I feel I can get a 13. 7 w/ more experience. If I can get my launch down I think I can get a better time. Do any of yall try to build boost at staging?

When I try to build boost I couldn't keep it from creeping at the line. I run in 4x4,rev it to 3000 rpm, light turns green dump clutch:D

Fast Five Glide

My truck has run 13. 1 @ 113 before we changed it to an auto. We had some room for improvement I think.

While in Texas I had the good fortune to meet Jeff Prince of TDR mag fame. I really enjoyed comparing notes with him in the pits. While I knew he had cracked the 12's, he told me he had run a 12. 7 with his 12v. He lost the head gasket before Saturdays event and couldn't make the show.

Cat320B if your truck is creeping at the light it sounds like your clutch is not fully disengaged. Yes with a single turbo I ran 13. 52 and now with the compounds it runs 12. 96. HVAC was your 13. 1 run on diesel only? And by the way Kat are you working on compounds, I've heard your making changes to something. Hope to see you all at May Madness , unless we can get a big event scheduled before then. I went to Texas for the Clash Of the Titans but it was rained out the original date.

What about Adam(My6)? Didn't he run like a 12. 9? once with is stick before he switched to an auto?

What about Eric McBride? Didn't he do a 12. 8 or something like that before he switched?

I want 12's single turbo first. I also want to get the head taken care of using something other then oring technology. All this "should" be done by May Madness. Its "possible" I'll have the new turbos on by then as well but not counting on it. Floor It and myself will be going again just like last year, trailing my truck behind his for that nice 24 hour trek. So eventually I'll have a compound turbo setup, after I get 12. 9x single turbo.

Adam I believe used propane and nitrous on all of his runs? I could be wrong.

Eric I don't think cracked the 12's until he went auto, I'm sure if he sees this he will correct us.

That's what it looks like, and it couldn't be a nicer guy to. Got to meet him at the Clash of the Titans Race and was as nice, and humble as could be.

Go through the TDR offices. I think the head peanut, Robert Patton would steer ya right. Jeff was featured in the TDR mag a couple of times. He's in Corpus Christi Texas. I didn't get one of his cards or I'd help ya myself.

Just a question for the stick shift guys, Are the stick ET times higher than the auto because of traction or shifting problems ?

I used to have a stick shift drag car and I had the trans "pro-shifted" , that is where they eliminate the synros (except for 1st ) and make the gears straight cut instead of helical. also there were 5 big teeth instead of many. Sure it made ALLOT of noise and was a ***** to downshift (when I drove it on the street) but you could pull the gears so fast with very little clutch effort it was unbelievable.

IMO it's several reasons. In my experience it seems like there's about a second difference between 5 speed and auto times. Part of that is that the auto guys can build boost on the line before launch so there is no turbo lag at launch whereas us manual guys can't. Second is that most of us don't power shift (leave the throttle wide open and grab the next gear) so we lose some boost at each shift thereby creating yet more lag. Third is that you can only shift an NV4500 or NV5600 so fast - it's no Muncie :D . Even when your grabbing gears as fast as you can your still shifting slower than an auto. JMHO
