Heck I was under the impression it was a 24 valve, even on his website it shows you racing against him in his 24 valve.

"PigPen" was at Muncie this year... . and will probably be there in '03 as well. He's a crazy guy (almost makes me seem normal at times... . ) that is bound and determined to go fast.

Update His truck is definalty a VP44 (just smokes like a P pump), and it does run 12. 4.



If I remember correctly he used to run in 2wd.

i am haveing trouble getting traction, the truck literally jumps off the track goinng through the gears . im playing with some suspesion ideas and plan to rent an 1/8 mile track in mid to late january to try these ideas out. im also running 3. 55 gears i thought about going to 4. 11s but am holding off for now. also im gonna try a set of slicks and a few 2wd passes just to see what happens.

Don't bother with the 4:11 they are a waste of time. You can try 3:73. Although I would stick with the 3:55s.

what kind of tires do you run,and do you run a modified fuel pump ? what type of injection pump would you reccomend i only have the stock pump now with a pusher pump,and what sort of power gains will the new pump give. thanks for any help

With 4:11 we ran 285s, but that only gives us a top mph of 111-112 mph. We run slicks now, that are 35" tall.



We ran a pretty much stock injection pump (slight mode only good for +10HP).

i am guessing that you are tubbed running in to wheel drive ,what kind of 60 ft times do you get

how much time did you pick up by switching to slicks, what kind of tires do you use what width and rim size?

I think the time we picked up is pretty small, we just got a little scared running almost 120mph in 4wd.



The slicks are 17" wide.
