Competition help with piston choice

I've just been wondering what the fastest single turbo cummins trucks with no drugs are running. I know Jeff Garmon has been 11. 2's with his race truck, though I don't know of any others running near that quick. Anyone know of other cummins guys in the 11's on a single and diesel only?

Ha Ha... ... Back on topic I know John Russin at Buddha Power had one of the fastest single charger #2 trucks. You may want to look into that though that was a wile back. But John is the guy to talk to if your seriouse about power and dont call unless you mean buisness.

Oh yeah, I heard he was in the 10's @800rwhp w/EFI live!

I will politely not comment, as I would love to go on about things said that were either true or untrue depending on the teller and the holder of the truth... LOL... something about CP3's comes to mind... but what do I know

I don't need anything built. My half ton is at Garmons right now being rebuilt, and he's doing everything he can to it right now. . I have faith it will be quick. He decided he'd rather me not spray huge amounts of nitrous to this one. I'm considering running the single silver bullet, though he has my big brother hybrid twin setup if that's not enough. I am curious what a 5,000 pound truck could run with a single and diesel only. It has to run 10. 50's, and I'd love for it to happen on diesel only, though I'm sure it will take the twins or juice to get it done. . I guess I won't know until the truck hits the track. I hear rumors of huge power numbers with a single on diesel only, yet I just haven't seen them put the numbers down at the track yet. I know Jeff ran an 11. 20 at I believe 5500 pounds.

Your on the right track as for the fastest I would think jeff is one of them if not the one, but Budah did have a 24v vp single #2 truck that would get with the program I just cant remember what it actually ran (mid 11's on a full wieght truck?).

That would be impressive. I've heard of many really high hp single trucks, especially third gens. I've just not heard any track times for those trucks. Garmon said his truck wasn't overly radical, yet it's main purpose is to finish each race and be dependable. He said it ran around 650hp at the wheels on diesel only uncorrected if I recall correctly. He still runs the stock cam as well.

Completely doable... . Stock Cams aren't that bad! Will I stay with one..... doubtful.

I wish you could take it for a spin. I haven't spoke to Jeff in several days, but II just called me today to tell me they have my silver bullet ready, and it's being shipped out to Jeff. Last I heard, the block was still at the machine shop. That was a week or two ago. Would you mind taking a few pictures of it for me? I know it will probably still be all apart, though I'm anxious to see that I still have a truck. . =) He told me it would take a while, so I'm not complaining. I am anxious to get it back though. .

I wont mind at all. I have to yank my injectors out when I get there, but I'll find time to smap some pics for ya.

Went really well, but your truck was MIA. I forgot to ask Jeff where it was Hidden, but I'm assuming it is at the other shop. ( In Griffin, where the skunkworks stuff happens. )

Phil Taylor's truck had high HP with 602 on fuel and a single. 64/14, 370's, and a 160 pump. that truck just plain rocks. No frills, just mad power in a VERY unassumimg package.
