i got a fault code 12 and 24. in the book the 24 code has ** beside it which indicates that it should be giving me a "check engine" lite when the engine is running. it doesn't. the fault code 24 is the tps voltage too hi/low or doesn't agree with the map. i've checked the voltages on the tps. they are fine and smooth.

is map the manifold air pressure sensor? has anyone had to replace it?

my tps is only 25k miles old.

still searching for my problem. it is acting just like the tps when it went bad.

thanks for any input. scott.

In the 1997 manual, 12 means the battery was disconnected within the last 50 key-on-off cycles. 24 means the TPS voltage is low. Check the connections for dirt, corrosion, oil, etc. Since you are on the 12 valve forum I assume you have a 12 valve Ram, and an auto with code 24. You didn't say. next beg some time with the DRB Scan Tool at a dealership as it is more informative.

yep, i will go to the dealer in the am. i know what the book says. but i'm not sure what to do from here. i've checked all of the connections. they seem ok.

thanks. scott.
