Engine/Transmission (1994 - 1998) fault code 42

has anyone had this one. i can see that it has something to do with the fuel pump relay control circuit or the ASD. it is not real specific in the service manual..... my truck runs fine? any comments would be appreciated... ...

ASD relay in a Diesel

The ASD relay is not really functional in some Cummins applications. From my 97 service manual it does provide power to things like the EGR solenoid, and control module, and it does supply power to a ASD sense in the PCM. In my 97 it is fed from fuse #4 (30 amp) in the PDC.
