A code 1693 came up on the truck. Can it be driven? HELP!!!

good question but it can't be all that bad sinse a friend told me my 2001 6sp fault codes read 1693,1689,0215,0237 over 6 months ago and i drive it every day

Eric, Since it didn't put you in the limp mode, it's probably the MAP or IAT sensor giving an over or undervoltage reading but you need to get it checked. As long as the truck isn't missing/surging or you are not getting erratic readings on the tackometer you should be OK.
