Snap-on for me I love the quality, and some of the tools they make you can't get anywhere else.



But I have tools from all most every company listed above along with other's and are happy with them aswell.

I use Craftsmen, but I like Snap-On, I just don't have that kind of $$$$. Growing up my step dad the mechanic had Snap-on and Mac so I got spoiled.

I own mostly Crapsman, but would have all Snap-on if had the coin. MUCH better tools.



I do have an Allen 3/8" drive, long handled, flexhead ratchet. I've cranked on it pretty hard over the years, and haven't broken it yet.

Kobalt for me its a Snap On for 1/2 the price @ Lowes



I have craftsman but I refuse to by them anymore ,,,,tired of them breaking when I need them most . .



Tommy Boy Says ... You can take a dump in a bag and give it a Life Time Warrentee ,But Dont you really want a Quality Product you dont have to worry about ?



He also says you can get a good look at your steak by sticking your head up the Cows . rear ,,, or you can just ask the cook.

Mostly Craftsman here as well. Only reason is my buddy that wrenches for a living gives me all his craftsman stuff as he replaces it with snap on and cornwell tools.



I really like the stanley "professional series". They are a very nice wrench for not much $$.

I buy Craftsman for it's lifetime replacement, but I like SK best. Craftsman power tools are not very good however.

I've been replacing mine with SK for a while now and really like the SK tools. In all I have a real mix but I've dropped buying craftsmen at all because I too am sick of breaking tools right in the middle of using them. They used to be good tools but in the last 15 years or so they've become complete junk.

I probably have more Craftsman tools in the box than anything else, but I wouldn't call them my favorite. I've bought some Kobalts recently and like them OK. My uncle, who pulled wrenches for a living, gave me a set of SK box/open end wrenches back in the 1960s. I'm still using them.

Ditto. I love SK, but I buy Crapsman. They fit the budget and work OK.

i had to vote for other. most of my home tools are canadian tires' pro series. i am not 100% sure who makes them, but i think they are better in quality than crapsman for the wrenches, but the sockets and ratchets are dead even with them. at work, i have anything the company provides. westward, gray, armstrong, snapon, proto. the armstrong torque wrenches are very nice. not a bit of plastic on them... and i really like the proto wrenches. [proto is a stanley company]. i think the westward sockets are ok, but their wrenches are junk [i don't like the finish on them], but they can take a pretty good beating before breaking. i've only got a few snapon items in my tool box at work [5/8"x3/4" moon ring wrench, 2x 1-1/2" ring wrench, 1-5/16" ring wrench, 1-1/16"x1-1/8" offset ring wrench] the big ring wrenches get abused like you won't believe. i snapped the end off my 1-5/16" one, but it still works fine with the 48" cheater pipe on the end

Although their prices are very high, their dealer network is amazing, and after you spend a small fortune with a dealer you get along with, the perks are unbelievable. I don't think everything they build is the best, but when comparing tools most of what fits my hand the best comes off their truck.



If a guy/gals shops around he/she can find high quality tools for great prices. Buying tools made by the actual manufacturer instead of the rebadged & often higher priced tool truck versions can save a bundle. Knipex pliers, Hanson taps & dies, etc. Checking out all the brands before you buy can get the best tool for you--sometimes the brand you like the best will surprise ya.



That being said I'm like Partsman & have a little of everything in my box. Most of it is Snap-On, though.

The local independent tool truck sells S&K (which I love) and also the ones by a lot of the actual manufacturers. I buy a lot of Hanson drills and taps/dies and punches. I also have several Knipex pliers and he sells other high quality company's tools like Armstrong (the best ratchet wrenches and made in USA), Kline (the best for electrical work, IMO), Vise-Grip, Channel-Lock, KD, Lisle and other specialty tools from independent manufacturers. I have a little of it all through the years (Mac, Matco, Snap-on, S&K, Cornwell, Craftsman) My overall favorite is S&K for machanics tools and Kline for electrical tools.

As for tool boxes themselves, I have a huge Snap-On at the company shop and a portable Snap on in the side body box on my 1996 truck, a Craftsman top chest in my company service truck and the bottom to that same chest at my home shop, as well as my carry around electrical service "pouch" from Home Depot for my electrical tools.

It's hard to beat Knipex and Klein for anything even resembling a plier/cutter.



My Klein diagonal cutters are hardened, and cut steel wire just fine-- not a single nick in the edge, either! Guitar strings don't have a chance!
