I prefer Snap-On.
Although their prices are very high, their dealer network is amazing, and after you spend a small fortune with a dealer you get along with, the perks are unbelievable.

I don't think everything they build is the best, but when comparing tools most of what fits my hand the best comes off their truck.
If a guy/gals shops around he/she can find high quality tools for great prices. Buying tools made by the actual manufacturer instead of the rebadged & often higher priced tool truck versions can save a bundle. Knipex pliers, Hanson taps & dies, etc. Checking out all the brands before you buy can get the best tool for you--sometimes the brand you like the best will surprise ya.
That being said I'm like Partsman & have a little of everything in my box. Most of it is Snap-On, though.
