talk about pucker up!

Anyone else in Wisconsin, or anywhere for that matter having trouble today?? I'm only 21 so the only QB I've ever known is #4, the ironman himself. .

We'll get over it somehow... and will end up having to find some other sports figure to worship on Sundays. We've been expecting him to retire sooner or later... but hoped it would never happen.....

Lambeau Field has been sold out (for season tickets) since 1960... I expect this to continue for a very long time.

Dude - Sauk Prairie, WI? That's where I used to live up to about a year ago. Far out.

Beers,

Matt

I'm currently residing in WI and didn't have a bit of trouble today. Actually, this news makes me smile due to the fact I've never liked Favre.

I'm an Eagles fan (and Patriots on the AFC side), but Favre was one of my favorite players. Just went out and played his guts out and had fun doing it. And stayed with one team for his entire career. Not too much of that anymore.

Brett Favre is an ironman, simply put. He has a toughness beyond what most people can comprehend. It's not the stats or the MVP's or the awards or any of that junk that sets him apart from all the others. It's 253 consecutive starts (275 w/playoffs) and a love for the game that is simply unmatched. It doesn't matter if you like him or not, whether you think he's the greatest or not, what matters is the way he showed up and played every game. This is not an arguable fact, it's THE fact. He's THE Ironman, the ultimate competitor, and a true role model. I was 15 when he came into the league, and had the privelege of seeing him play. I just wish more people in pro sports (and life in general) approached their respective games the way he did.

A sad day indeed! Someone like Favre can't be easily replaced. They said for example the Bears had 21 starting QB's since #4 began his streak. Let the rebuilding begin.

Favre, was IMO, one of the best all time QB's to ever play the game. Although I am sad I wont be able to watch the gunslinger anymore, I am happy he got out under his own terms.

No doubt he will be a commentator on ESPN or the like soon.

Yea it was a sad day indeed... . When he had his press confrence yesterday, wow... I'm sure he wasn't the only grown man to shed a tear during that... He will be missed. Like Kaufman said, im only 24 and he IS the Packers to me.

Brett and Bart, two of the very best, from Mississipi and Alabama, playing in the Tundra! Tell me God doesn't have a sense of humor! I can't wait to see who steps up to "be the man"! Mark
