So I got my truck back after having the FCA (Fuel control Actuator) replaced. Seems like it should have been under warranty. Can anyone tell me exactly where the FCA is located. Is it before the Pump, or after the pump. Is it part of the pump?

it is located on the CP3 hig pressure pump. it is on the drivers side towards the back of the pump and has a electrical harness hooked to it.

Its the silver part that looks like a small electric motor on the back of the high presure fuel injection pump. Sutton I will fax you Monday.

So is it considered part of the pump? If you replace the pump does the FCA come with it? If so it should be a slam dunk warranty issue.

Thanks for sharing the location. I actually saw the part, but didn't know exactly where it came from. I drove to another dealor and picked up the part because they said it would take like a week to get it from detroit.

Thanks SKING

The juice was completely removed prior to servicing, so the subject never came up. And as I have learned it is highly doubtful that it had anything to do with it. I think I just happened to find a dealer that doesn't know what is/isn't covered. May be an honest mistake. I emailed Dodge with the question and am hoping I can get something in writing from them saying it is a covered item.

Talked to a service tech at a competing dealer today. He said most definately it is covered under the 100K warranty. He printed out the documentation for me specifying the warranted part. Thanks for all the help
