I looked in my Chrysler computer last night work and notice I cant just get the FCA. I remember someone saying that you can get it at a Cummins Dealer. Does anyone know the Cummins Part Number???

I also remember someone saying the Floor it Diesel had a modified one, is it worth the money???

Thanks.

PBrauer

FCA for '06,

Mopar part number:

5183245AA ($181. 80, dlr in NH)

Cummins part number:

4932457 ($95, Cummins Northeast)

I feel for you guys in Canada...

$177. 35 at Cummins, Eastern Canada

Mopar might be hard to find in stock AND avail. at dealers.

He found several dealers that had exactly one, which probably means they are being ordered against a work order/repair.

If you call a Cummins Distributor they can have any part that is in stock in the Memphis warehouse overnighted for 15% extra.

Extremely reliable and the Dist. can order parts from Memphis until late in the evening.

Works great if you call "ahead" on your route.

Links to the Cummins Distributor lists:

United States - Sales, Service, Support for Cummins Power Generation Generators, Switch Gear, Rental Gensets

Canada - Sales, Service, Support for Cummins Power Generation Generators, Switch Gear, Rental Gensets

Thanks guys.

I'm going to replace the FCA today if I can get my hands on one. I'm planning on make a little road trip this weekend so we will see how it does.

The way they were talking about the cp3 going bad, my truck hasnt had those synptoms.

I'm thinking it the injectors. It idles like crap, it blow a little grayish some on startup.

Thanks again for the help.

If its my cp3, how hard is it to do yourself??? I turn wrenchs for a living but I dont really get a chance to work on Diesels.

Yeah rlsjeep talk to Glenn in parts at Akins. He should be able to help you. I too would like to know about the cp3 replacement procedure. If the book pays almost 3 hours it must be more than a simple unbolt and bolt up job.
