Okay, bad enough the pan gasket had been slightly leaking since new, and bad enough the frikin fan clutch finally really went out at 14k mi... ... ... .

Got the news from the dealer in a phone call at lunch.

"well sir... . seems we don't have the clutch in stock (what else is new) but we'll probably have it tomorrow... . I also needed to let you know we had an incident with your truck" I remember we used to call problems, incidentes (sp?).

"Seems one of the guys slightly scratched and dented your fender in front of the passenger rear tire. " I asked what happened, did the truck fall off the rack? "No, he backed into someting while moving the truck. "

I just had to laugh and shake my head after I got off the phone, to keep from killing someone.

I wish I had a nickle for every time I told myself not to take the truck to the dealer.

This morning when I dropped off the truck, the service manager asked if I had ever taken the truck to any dealer before. I said yes, to Whittier Dodge... thats why I brought it here... ... .

Guess I need to look for another dealer who hires more responsible employees... ... thats a good one... ... .

Sorry for the long post, just blowing off a little steam.

Oh, by the way, the place I'm talking about is DOWNEY DODGE...

Jesse.

Musclefixer... sorry to hear about your truck. We have had similar "incidents" up here in the Great Northwest. Ask Evan Beck... a lot boy creamed his before he could take delivery! (He ordered a new one!)

Don't forget about Bad Brad. Bellevue Dodge wacked his dually fender. The last time mine was at Bellevue,I told them they better not do to mine like they did to Brads!

Sorry to hear it but that's why my horn still sounds like there is water in it. I figured if I procrastinate long enough (Sept 2001) then maybe I could justify BOMBing the horn at that time.

BV... you need to go to the east side and get some dry weather!

Actually, my old jeep would do that every time I washed it... . honk it a bunch and see if you can turn it downwards a bit to prevent more water... of course, BOMBing the horn can be fun!

At least they admitted that they did it. Took my 95 in for service once and the dealer tried to tell me that I brought it in that way. Nice try.

<<<<PO'd

I made a appointment to have a defect in my paint redone a week ago and the service manager told me to have my truck there at 7:30 am sharp. So I did and he told me to pick it up around 5 pm. So I cleared my whole day and took my mountain bike back and fourth like 16 miles. So I got there at 5 and they said "o we got really backed up and didnt get to your truck, brigh it back in the morning and we should be able to get to it" Man was I upset to put it nicely. I know just because I was warranty work I get put on the back burner. Dealers cant live with them and you cant live with out them.
