Does anybody happen to have the Federal Mogul part number for rear axle seals for a '95 2500? The guy at my auto parts store sold me a set of seals, but he wasn't too sure they were the right ones. I don't want to get the axle's out and find out he sold me the wrong ones. The ones he sold me are # 710067

I was adjusting my rear brakes yesterday and one of the adjustment star wheels is very gooey with what smells like rear end oil!

I replaced them once, about 90,000 miles ago, but I didn't write down the part number!

I recently did a rear brake job on my 95 (120K) and found a very small amount of rearend oil on one backing plate. I did a very good cleaning of the area and am going to put 5k on it and check again for further leaking. I bought the seal but didn't replace it as of yet.

I have the NAPA brand, made by CR (Chicago Rawhide). Part number is 28746. Maybe you can cross reference it.

crabman:)
